Profile

Helen joined DMTC in the year 2000 when she moved to Durham from Bristol,where she had been involved in amateur theatre for many years playing mainly soubrette and character parts in anything from pantomime through G&S to varying dramas both in and outdoors!

She is actively invollved in local choirs and also Durham Dramatic Society where she won the 2008 award for best character actress for her portrayal of Arabella in Alan Ayckbourne's "Role Play"

With DMTC she has played Mrs Brown in "Me and My Girl",a golden girl in "What a Swell Party", the four-legged Nana in "Peter Pan", Mrs Pearce in "My Fair Lady", the receptionist in "Gigi" and the pianist Ella in "Mack and Mabel"

She is looking forward to achieving a lifetimes ambition to fly on stage while playing Fruma- Sarah the dead wife of the butcher in "Fiddler on the Roof"
