Rebecca Dixon

Profile

Rebecca was practically born into the society after her parents got involved and has been on stage since she was three years old.

After performing as the youngest princess in the King and I she went on to enjoy many more shows and pantomimes in the children’s chorus including Annie, Oliver and the Music Man, in which she undertook her first small role as Janey – the raisin munching bookworm!

Since then she has performed principal roles including Frederika in A Little Night Music, April in Company, Kate Mullins in Titanic, Tzeitel in Fiddler on the Roof and Isabel in Scrooge.

Her other passion is dancing and under the watchful eye of the society’s choreographer (who also happens to be her mum) Rebecca has enjoyed featuring in the society’s team of dancers in many shows.

For Grand Hotel – she certainly gets to put her dancing skills to use, working alongside the talented dancers from the Kathleen Knox School of Dance in Sunderland, she has had to master a range of fast and furious routines including her favourite – the Charleston.

Rebecca is delighted to continue to be part of a society which means so much to her and get the opportunity to perform again alongside her family, partner and fellow principal Ed Turner and a wonderful cast of friends.
